Rather than dump all the links
on one page, I have seperated them into categories. Not that I couldn't
build a nice little table and cram in 300 links, I just thought
that I would give a brief explanation of the link first. This will
obviously take up space, but in the end should help the user in
selecting links that actually could interest them.
The first is the traditional
photographer link section. I started in
photography before the internet existed, so some of my favorites
may not have websites, or even actual galleries/museums that have
their images on the internet.......oh, well. This first started
out split into two groups. The first group of photographers being
people that I met first on the internet at various Photo Sites.
A very impressive group of photographers, I might add. The second
group being photographers, galleries, and agencies that have inspired
me over the years. I do not necessarily like all of the photographers
in the gallery houses or museums. I don't think anybody could make
that claim, but these "houses" are appreciated by me simply
for the talent that they make available for viewing. Magnum Photo
is an especially excellent source of photographer's work. However,
of late, the line between these two groups has been blurred, mainly
because there are some photographers on the list that I do not communicate
with on the internet, but are in fact somewhat new to photography
but have some great images, and have not reached that "cream
of the crop" level as yet, and some of the people I have met
on the internet have started to move very close to that top level
of photographers. And at this point in time I can't really decide
where the line is any more. So, as usual, when lines and rules get
in my way, I eliminate them....heh.
The next page is the educational
photography section. Hopefully that is explanation enough. This
is not for the art appreciator, so much as for the photographers
themselves who frequent this site. It is not "gimmick"
photography oriented.............EVER........it is just some of
the most useful sites I have found for doing the job correctly.
These sites are inclusive of both film and digital photography,
and wet and digital darkroom techniques. I use both. Of course,
schools and books are also quiet valuable in this endeavor, and
I highly recomend pursueing that route also. But, this is FREE ;o)..............take
advantage of it.
There may be other link pages
as time goes by................but that's it for now folks.
